Sameer Rashad is a sufi and mystic born on the 19th of August 1973 in Casablanca Morocco (North Africa) into a poor family of 6 members. Like many truth seekers did,he used to ask strange questions in his early childhood and criticize the mechanical and the superficial way ordinary people communicate with the Almighty.
His search started in his home country Morocco in the nineties then after having been scammed by a friend he quit the University and moved randomly to Ivory Coast in west Africa in 1997 and stayed there for 10 years. Meanwhile he would travel to the neighbouring countries and to India for a mystical and spiritual purpose. His first interest dealt with NDE ( Near Death Experience) and was inspired by many pioneers in this field, especially Dr. Elisabeth Kübler Ross who taught dying patients how to make their transition in dignity. In 2004 he was initiated into Kriya Yoga by Paramahansa Prajnananda in the Ashram of Balighai Orissa in East India. One month later Sai Baba called him to Shanti Nilayam in Puttaparthi Bangalore. He stayed there for about 10 days and had the opportunity to get his Darshan. After he was invited by some Europeans to visit Amma in her Ashram in Kerala south India, where he spent one week enjoying her graceful hugs in an atmosphere full of love and light.
Nevertheless the most tremendous experience in his life happened 2 weeks before his first trip to India. It was about his mysterious connection with the sufi path, which kept following him wherever he would go, from Ashram to Ashram, from temple to temple through very touching signs and hints until he finally got in contact with his sufi Master in Kanpur in the summer of 2010.
His spiritual venture is thoroughly and humbly being highlighted in his upcoming book.
